I care about making beautiful and useful things that help people, simplifying complex systems with a touch of joy
I'm a product and brand designer with a background in visual design and design systems. Over the past seven years, I've had the opportunity to work across diverse industries—including fintech, IT services, health & wellness, lifestyle, and fitness technology—with companies ranging from small businesses and startups to large global organizations. My work encompasses UI/UX design for mobile and web, visual language development, design systems and guidelines, scalable brand identities, design strategy, Lottie animations, website development and illustration.
My career began in 2012 as an application developer after completing my engineering degree. After two years, I felt a strong pull to combine my technical skills with my passion for art and design. This led me to pursue a master's degree in Design from Northumbria University in Newcastle, a pivotal experience that shifted my focus to visual storytelling and design problem-solving.
Through collaborations with designers from various disciplines and close work with engineers (drawing on my own technical background), I developed a growing interest in UX design. I believe design is fundamentally about solving problems and creating positive impact. Driven by a desire to accelerate my design growth and reach a wider audience, I pursued a UX design certification.
For the past year, I've worked as a freelance product and brand designer. This experience has allowed me to expand my skillset, learning tools for motion graphics and web development, and to delve into systematic design thinking, workflow optimisation, and creating efficient research experiments for data and insight gathering. Importantly, working with small, women-owned businesses has provided valuable insight into their unique challenges and the importance of embracing constraints to develop creative solutions from diverse perspectives.
When I'm not designing, you can find me being a dog mom, exploring new places, painting, or immersed in a good action RPG.
